Who was Stanisław Dubois?

Stanisław Józef Dubois was a Polish journalist and political activist who was a member of the Polish Socialist Party and the Youth Organisation of Workers' University Youth. He took part in Third Silesian Uprising and Polish–Soviet War. Dubois was a creator of the Red Scouts. In years 1928-1933 he was a member of the Sejm, and a councillor in Warsaw since 1938. Dubois was a secretary in the redaction of Robotnik. As an opponent of Sanation he was imprisoned in 1930 in Brest Fortress and sentenced in the Brest trials for 3 years in prison. Dubois took part in the Polish resistance movement in World War II. He was arrested in 1940 and transported from Pawiak prison to Auschwitz-Birkenau, where he conspired with Witold Pilecki and was executed in 1942.
