Who is Teri S?

The voice of Teri S has an extraordinary effect on her audiences. Teri's style and smooth sound captures all ears. Teri has a sound that is a toss between Aretha Franklin and Patti Labelle! Accompanied with an all-star 5-piece band and sultry background vocalists, Teri S's silky smooth sound will send chills of love, and stimulate the mind and body. She has been extremely blessed with such a powerful and beautiful voice, and her ultimate dream is to share it with the world. Teri S's career started at the early age of 7, as she delighted her church congregation with sweet melodies. At the age of 10, she was requested to perform special tributes to former Congressman Walter E. Fauntroy. During her tenure in college, she led a popular jazz band, opening for and the Soul Searchers. By popular demand, Teri S was requested to perform at Inaugural Balls, singing for the late Dr. Dorothy Height, former Council Member Dr. Charlene Drew Jarvis, former Secretary of Labor, F. Alexis Herman, the late Coretta Scott King and a host of other dignitaries and political figures. Teri S fans, family and friends consider her to be very talented, entertaining and original. Taking advantage of winning the intense crowd of the “Apollo Theatre” Live in New York, Teri S pursued and landed a major singing and acting role on a Off- Broadway play at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington, D.C. She has opened and sang with seasoned international artists such as; the late Ollie Woodson and Dennis Edwards (former Temptations), Delfonics, and Blue Majic. She has shared the stage with Regina Belle, Kemistry and Kenny Lattimore. Most recently, Teri S appeared on Fox 5 Morning News, to benefit the National Capital Food Bank's Annual Food Drive. She surrenders her voice to fans at Washington's annual outdoor concerts. Many Washingtonians may have recognized her voice in the D.C. Lottery's advertising jingle, where she sings to win! Over the years, her endurance and hard work as enabled her to win several talent shows on the local and national level, affording her the honor of singing for Patti Labelle in Philadelphia, PA. Teri S performances are not easily forgotten and will continue to build her fan base throughout the world. Listeners of the syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show can attest to that, after hearing her perform at the DAR Constitution Hall along with the world renowned Whispers and Rubin Studdard. While performing at the Legendary “Blues Alley”, she captivated a star-studded audience including Joe Herndon of “The Temptations”, Dr. JC Hayward, VP of Media Outreach for WUSA – Ch 9, and many other influential figures. In March 2006, Teri S was fortunate to perform live at the White House. Teri released her Debut CD entitled “In The Middle’ in 2007, which has and still is receiving rave reviews all over the world. Teri will release her sophomore single and a video project early 2013. Teri S has a sound you cannot and will not want to pass up!
