Who is Thabie Ngethe?
Thabile Beauty Nsele AKA (Thabie Ngethe). Born 25 June 1989 at Empangeni living currently residing at Richardsbay KwaZulu Natal, Thabie started school at iNselenyana Primary School when her family moved to Richardsbay in 1997 Brackenhem Primary finished her matric at Richardsbay Secondary School.
Thabie is known as Afro Soul, Jazz, Gospel, Afro House/dance singer, composer, song-writer & perfomer
Drawing on various South African styles such as Mbaqanga, Maskanda, Marabi and traditional Zulu, fused with contemporary elements from jazz, funk, rock, gospel, rap, opera, reggae and West African music, she produces a fresh and exciting sounds.
She contested for IdolsSA 2017 with financial issues she couldn't attend more auditions for competition however she has never given up on her passion and talent after years of singing she was discovered by Wandile Method leading to recording her first single tracks with Multi Award Winners In the industry Producer Bheki Nqoko Kuwe Records, Silvester Mazinyane and more
Her infectious music and singing style have a universal appeal and her lyrics carry powerful and poignant messages. And her care-free way of performance includes performing bare-foot and representing culture.
The ability to be vulnerable on stage to send a strong message is a rare skill which takes years to perfect, but for Empangeni born musician and composer Thabie Ngethe it comes naturally.
The homegrown songbird uses this skill when she writes her music The self-composed tracks respond to the extreme levels of femicide, domestic violence, ruthless killings, sicknesses and various social ills, while imploring for divine intervention.
In both songs, she used her vulnerability and fused it with her alluring deep but soothing voice and lyrics to send a strong message about the scourge of gender-based violence, condemning the plague.
‘Sekwanele means ‘enough’, and it’s about a married woman who is being abused. And 'Umkhuleko is a prayer against all the pain, darkness and everything we are facing in the world,’
Thabie was bitten by the music bug at a young age and began singing in school, church and at home events.
With her brother a known deejay, Thabie received first-hand experience of the industry and began taking her craft seriously.
‘I started singing along to songs on the radio before I was introduced to Afro and house music beats and started adding vocals on different genres.
‘Music boasted my confidence and creativity, but I never thought I would end up recording professionally and singing for audiences, Thabie has the skill to tackle songs in many genres including gospel, Afro-soul, house classic and even RnB.
Her music is influenced by legendary musicians such as Busi Mhlongo, Letta Mbuli, Miriam Makeba and Yvonne Chaka Chaka and few more.
In her thriving career,
Thabie has performed at many festivals in KZN, and hopes to spread her music across the globe, giving music lovers a taste of diverse African sounds.
To introduce her self she has Released 4 single tracks from her Album.

Thabie has Performed in various events across KZN including Max's Lifestyle, Aloe Lifestyle Hotel, Gesh Lounge, Under the moon and many more, through out 2021 and hopes to get gigs out of KZN.
Thabie has signed publishing deal with Wandile Method Publishing and Sheer Publishing which is one of the Top 5 music publishers in South Africa.
