Tristan DeVere Cole is an English television director, now retired, who is believed to be an illegitimate son of the painter Augustus John.
He is best known for Orion's Belt, the TV series Z-Cars, and Dykket. Most of his filmography is TV series such as episodes of Trainer; Bergerac; Rockliffe's Folly; Howards' Way;The Spoils of War; Secret Army; Survivors; Angels; Trinity Tales; Emmerdale Farm Take Three Girls and Doctor Who.
Now aged 78, De Vere Cole is retired.
