Who was Virginia Biddle?

Virginia Biddle was an American revue performer and showgirl. Biddle was a regular performer in Ziegfeld's shows until 1931.

After her injury in the explosion of Harry Richman’s yacht Chevalier II in July 1931, Biddle ultimately ended her stage career due to burns to her feet and ankles. During the retirement she married and gave birth to a daughter. Biddle resided in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. In 2003 she sustained injuries in a car accident and died shortly afterwards.
