Who was Vojin Dimitrijević?
Vojin Dimitrijević was a Serbian human rights activist and international law expert. He was the founder and head of the Belgrade Centre for Human Rights - an organisation opposed to the government of Slobodan Milošević. A former graduate, then professor at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law, he was dismissed from his position in 1998, and went on to opposed the involvement of Serbia in various conflicts in the region. He served as an ad hoc judge on the International Court of Justice from 2001 to 2003, and was reinstated as an honorary law professor in 2005.
