Who was Václav Kozák?

Václav Kozák was a Czech rower who competed for Czechoslovakia in the 1960 Summer Olympics, in the 1964 Summer Olympics, and in the 1968 Summer Olympics.

He was born in Vrbno nad Lesy and died in Terezín.

In 1960 he won the gold medal with his partner Pavol Schmidt in the double sculls event.

Four years later he did not start in the consolation final of the 1964 single sculls competition and was placed twelfth.

At the 1968 Games he finished ninth in the single sculls contest.
