Who was Wilhelm Niggemeyer?
Wilhelm Niggenmeyer was a German officer who served in the Wehrmacht during World War II and in the postwar Bundeswehr. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross and its higher grade Oak Leaves was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.
He participated in making of Männer gegen Panzer, 1943 German film, about different types of infantry anti-tank warfare.
