Who is Xavier Ramirez?
Xavier Ramirez is director of Higher Intention productions. He is currently in post-production on the film "I Got Soul", about James Brown the godfather of soul. The film explores the inspiration, collaboration and stark realities that led up to one of the most successful recording sessions of all time.
Xavier is currently directing the musically driven feature film Strange Places. Strange Places examines Sonny and Natalie's addiction to drugs,dependancy and their addiction to each other. Based on a true story, A young Kurt Cobain and Nirvana opened up for Sonny's band the Happy Dogs in 1989.
Ramirez has had a consistent focus on dance/musical motion pictures. Xavier's background as a professional dancer has led to many diverse credits including footage used in the motion picture STEP UP, and his feature documentary BATTLECRY.
However as a writer Xavier wrote the screenplay "Rebel" based on the award winning novel by Andrew E. Stevens "Rebel with a cause". Rebel documents the amazing true stories of a carefree youth that became an expert forger serving the anti-Nazi efforts in WWII.
Xavier Ramirez documentary film production and photography was featured in the April 9 issue of VIBE magazine and the January 21st issue of Jet magazine.
