Who is Yakubu Ochefu?

Yakubu Aboki Ochefu is a Nigeria Historian and University administrator. He was born in Kaduna on the 24th of October 1960. He attended St. Gregory’s College, Obalende Lagos. University of Calabar and Centre for West African Studies, University of Birmingham. He has over 30 years’ experience as an Academic and University Administrator and over 75 publications to his credit. He is a former Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Benue State University, Makurdi, and former Vice-Chancellor, Kwararafa University, Wukari, and former National President, Historical Society of Nigeria. He is currently a Professor of Economic History and Development Studies, Benue State University, Makurdi. He is also the current National President of the University of Calabar Alumni Association. He is married to Mrs. Hilda Ochefu and they have three adult children.
