Who is Zhong Nanshan?

Zhong Nanshan is a Chinese pulmonologist, who discovered the SARS coronavirus in 2003. He was the President of the Chinese Medical Association from 2005 to 2009 and is currently the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Thoracic Disease. He is most well known for managing the SARS outbreak in Guangdong province in 2003. He was voted one of China's top 10 scientists in 2010.
