Who was A. M. A. Azeez?
A.M.A Azeez was a pioneering Sri Lankan Muslim civil servant and an educator. He was born in the city of Jaffna and had his education in institutions in that city. He was a lifelong friend of Hindu reformer Swami Vipulananda and was instrumental in opening charitable organizations to help poor Muslim residents of the east of the country.
