Who is Aaron Ohlmann?
Aaron Ohlmann is a Los Angeles-based editor, producer, and documentarian who works on projects that focus on the arts, international politics, and social architecture.
He has worked on projects for the Discovery Channel, PBS, and VPRO. He has collaborated extensively with writer/director Rene Daalder, with whom he produced, edited and shot Here Is Always Somewhere Else, a documentary about artist Bas Jan Ader. This movie received a nomination for the Gouden Kalf. In 2005, Ohlmann was a resident artist at the Wexner Center for the Arts with Daalder. He also edited the director's cut of Population: 1, a punk rock feature film featuring early appearances by members of Los Lobos, Beck, Vampira, Penelope Houston, Carel Struycken, and El Duce.
Ohlmann graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2003 with a communication arts degree.
