Who was Agah Efendi?
Çapanzade or Çapanoğlu Agah Efendi was an Ottoman who published the first private newspaper to be published by Turkish journalists and introduced postage stamps to the Ottoman Empire. He is further known as being a member of the Young Turks. He was born son of Çapanzade Ömer Hulûsi Efendi in Yozgat. He was educated at Istanbul,in the Mekteb-i Tıbbiye-i Şahane.
