Who was Aileen Roberts, 2nd Countess Roberts?

Aileen Mary Roberts, 2nd Countess Roberts, DBE, was one of the six children of Field Marshal Frederick Sleigh Roberts, 1st Earl Roberts, V.C. and Nora Henrietta Bews. She succeeded to the titles of Viscountess St. Pierre and Countess Roberts on 14 November 1914.

Lady Roberts was chairman of the Lord Roberts Memorial Workshops. She was invested as a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1918. She died in 1944, unmarried, aged 74, and was succeeded as Countess Roberts by her younger sister Edwina.
