Alain Monie

Who is Alain Monie?

Alain Moni serves as president and chief operating officer of Ingram Micro Inc. since 2007. He joined Ingram Micro Inc. in February 2003 as executive vice president, bringing more than 28 years of international corporate experience to the companys executive team. He became president of the companys Asia-Pacific region in early 2004. He spent more than two years as president of the Latin American Division of Honeywell International, responsible for all countries from Mexico to Chile and the Caribbean. He joined Honeywell through the corporations merger with Allied Signal Inc., where he built a 17-year career on three continents, progressing from a regional sales manager to head of Asia-Pacific operations. Prior to joining Honeywell, Moni spent 12 years in Asia, leading Allied Signals expansion into China and enhancing its presence in India. He held general management positions with Sogitec Inc. and was a controller for Renault. He began his career in Mexico City as a civil construction engineer. Moni was educated in France, earning an MBA from the Institut Suprieur des Affaires in Jouy en Josas. He received high honors in his Automation engineering studies at the Ecole Nationale Suprieure dArts et Metiers.
