Attended College at Georgetown University, Washington D.C. 1969/1973 His father Alejandro Lacayo Montealegre founded the Monte Rosa Sugar Mill in Nicaragua. Alejandro J. Lacayo is currently a business man in Nicaragua growing coffee and sugar cane. He is also involved in Corporate Advisory for projects and distribution logistics for Foreign Companies. Mr. Lacayo played golf for the Nicaraguan National Amateur Seniors Team, competing annually in Central America.
