Who is Alex Prieto?

Alejandro Antonio "Alex" Prieto [pre-AY-to] is a Major League Baseball second baseman and right-handed batter who is currently a member of the Edmonton Capitals of the North American League. He played parts of two seasons in the majors, 2003 and 2004, for the Minnesota Twins. In those seasons, Prieto batted .209 with one home run and four RBI in 24 games.

Prieto played for the Boston Red Sox AAA-affiliate, the Pawtucket Red Sox in 2007. In 2008, he played for the Bridgeport Bluefish in the Atlantic League. In 2009, he played for the Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League.
