Who is Alexander Rehding?

Alexander Rehding is Fanny Peabody Professor of Music at Harvard University. He received his B.A., M.A., M.Phil., and Ph.D. from Cambridge University, where he also held a research fellowship at Emmanuel College. He held positions at the Penn Humanities Forum and the Princeton Society of Fellows before joining Harvard's Department of Music in 2003. Rehding is co-editor of Acta musicologica.

In 2009 Rehding was awarded fellowships from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation and the American Council of Learned Societies. He has also received support from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
