Alfred "Al" Lawson Jr. is a former Democratic member of the Florida Senate, who represented the 6th District from 2000 through 2010. Previously he was a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 1982 through 2000.
Lawson received his bachelor's degree from Florida A&M University, and his Master of Public Administration from Florida State University.
