Who is Aneesh Raman?

Aneesh Raman is a Senior Editor at OZY Media, a new media company co-founded by Carlos Watson and backed by a number of high-profile investors including Laurene Powell Jobs, Larry Sonsini, David Drummond, Dan Rosensweig and Ron Conway.

Prior to joining OZY, Raman served in the Obama Administration, most recently as a speechwriter to the President of the United States Barack Obama. Raman came to the White House after working at the United States Department of Defense and at the Treasury Department as speechwriter to Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner. Before joining government, Raman was an award-winning CNN reporter and the network's first correspondent based in the Middle East responsible for region-wide coverage.

Raman is currently a term member at the Council on Foreign Relations.
