Who is Aneta Konieczna?

Aneta Konieczna née Pastuszka, is a Polish sprint canoer who has competed since the mid-1990s. Competing in four Summer Olympics, she won three medals in the K-2 500 m event with one silver and two bronzes.

Konieczna has also been successful at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, winning sixteen medals. This includes two golds, six silvers, and seven bronzes.

For her sport achievements, she received:

Golden Cross of Merit in 2000;

Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta in 2004;

Officer's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta in 2008.
