Who is Anna Tibaijuka?

Anna Kajumulo Tibaijuka is a Tanzanian CCM politician and Member of Parliament for Muleba South constituency since 2010. She is the current Minister of Lands, Housing and Human Settlement Developments.

She is also a former under-secretary-general of the United Nations and executive director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme. Until her resignation in 2010 to run for political office in Tanzania, she was the second highest ranking African woman in the UN system.
