Who is Anya Beyersdorf?

Anya Beyersdorf is an Australian actress, born in Armidale, New South Wales.

Beyersdorf trained in acting and directing in the theatres of Berlin after winning the Marten Bequest Prize for Acting for 2008/2009, working under Bulgarian master director Dimiter Gotscheff on the play – The Powder Keg at Der Haus der Berliner Festspiele as well as traveling and studying performance in Poland, Denmark and the USA.

Anya played the title character Angie in John Winter’s directorial debut feature film which premiered at the 58th Sydney International Film Festival. Black and White and Sex is Anya’s third feature film, after Rats and Cats and Triple Happiness as well performing as the Tragic Usherette in the self devised Magic Lantern Picture Show at the Famous Spiegeltent.

Other film work includes lead performances in the 2007 Dendy Award nominated Australian Film Commission film Love’s Labour directed by Natasha Pincus and the AFI nominated Film Victoria Dugong directed by Erin White.
