Who is Arden L. Bement, Jr.?
Arden Lee Bement, Jr. is an American engineer and scientist. He is a former Director of the National Science Foundation, and had previously served as Director of the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Following the end of his six-year term at NSF, on June 1, 2010 he became the founding director of the new Global Policy Research Institute at Purdue University.
