William Chester "Baby Doll" Jacobson was a Major League baseball outfielder. Jacobson was born in Cable, Illinois, USA.
He was a fine ballplayer, garnering over 1,700 hits and posting a .311 lifetime batting average. His best season was 1920, when he hit for a .355 batting average and amassed 122 RBIs. Twice he was in the top ten in voting for league MVP.
Jacobson died in Orion, IL at the age of 86and was buried at Dayton Corners Cemetery in Colona, IL.
