Who is Basit Saeed?
Basit Saeed was a Pakistani cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler who played for Sialkot. He was born in Sialkot.
Basit made his debut in Grade II of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy competition of 2000/01, making 30 runs in his debut innings, partnering 19-year-old Majid Jahangir.
Basit's debut first-class appearance came after Sialkot's promotion into Grade I of the competition, the following season. Basit's first substantial contribution came against the Rest of Punjab, against whom he scored 42 runs in the first innings of the match and 14* in the second. Saeed was unable to continue this good form in the final game of the competition.
Saeed played just one further game for Sialkot, in a One-Day competition.
