Who was Bill Perkins?
William 'Bill' Perkins, or 'Polly' as he was affectionately known, was an Australian rules football player who played in the VFL between 1940 and 1949 for the Richmond Football Club and coached Brighton.
He died on 29 May 2009 at the age of 89. Prior to his death, his was the last surviving player of the 1943 Premiership side.
