Who was Bill Thoms?
William David Thoms was a professional ice hockey player who played 548 games in the National Hockey League for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Chicago Black Hawks and Boston Bruins.
Thoms shared the NHL goal-scoring lead with Charlie Conacher in 1935–36. After his retirement in 1945, he briefly coached the Toronto Marlboros of the OHA, and died of a heart attack on Boxing Day, 1964.
