Who is C. M. Edens?

C.M. "Lefty" Edens was the third head college football coach for the University of Texas at Arlington Mavericks located in Arlington, Texas and he held that position for two seasons, from 1923 until 1924. His career coaching record at UT Arlington was 9 wins, 7 losses, and 2 ties. This ranks him ninth at UT Arlington in total wins and fifth at UT Arlington in winning percentage.

The school discontinued its football team after completion of the 1985 season.

Edens died when he drowned during a fishing trip to the Colorado River in July 1939. He was 41.
