Who is Calixto Pérez?

Calixto Pérez is a retired boxer from Colombia, who represented his native country at the 1972 Summer Olympics. There he was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the men's flyweight division by eventual gold medalist Georgi Kostadinov from Bulgaria.

His best performance as an amateur was winning the silver medal in the bantamweight division at the 1971 Pan American Games. Pérez turned pro on June 15, 1973, and retired in 1977 after 15 bouts.
