Who was Carmen Basilio?
Carmine Basilio better known in the boxing world as Carmen Basilio, was an Italian-American professional boxer who had been a two weight class world boxing champion. Some reports have suggested that Basilio changed his name from Carmine to Carmen before he began boxing, to sound more masculine.
