Who is Charles Dilone?

"Charles "Swing" Dilone" (born on June 30, 1982 in New York, New York to parents of the Dominican Republic), is a noted bongosero, of salsa. Charles "Swing" Dilone's started playing percussion at the age of 8. He would go on to perform with New York Pop Orchestra by 13 years of age. Dilone was accepted into La Guardia High School in 1996. Early performances include performing with, Oro Solido, Mala Fe, Tulile, Los Home Boyz, Frankie Negron and Miosotis. In 2001, Jose Vazquez-Cofresi & Juliᅢᄀn Silva approached Charles "Swing" Dilone to join a "Salsa Gorda/Salsa Dura" orchestra. Dilone accepted and became the bongosero/campanero for the 11-piece salsa sensation now known as "La Excelencia".
