Who is Christopher Gignoux?

Christopher Gignoux received a B.S. in Biological Sciences and an M.S.

in Anthropological Sciences from Stanford University. His master's

thesis work was done in the laboratory of Dr. Joanna Mountain, where he

studied human prehistory in Africa using autosomal SNP-STR systems.

Gignoux subsequently managed the laboratory of Dr. Mountain, where he

was involved in the study of the history of click-speaking groups in

Tanzania, among other projects. He has also collaborated with Dr. Peter

Underhill (Department of Genetics, Stanford University). An avid

musician, Gignoux also played guitar in the band Vaeda for several

years.
