Who is David B. A. Epstein?
David Bernard Alper Epstein FRS is a mathematician known for his work in hyperbolic geometry, 3-manifolds, and group theory, amongst other fields. He co-founded the University of Warwick mathematics department and is founding editor of the journal Experimental Mathematics.
Epstein was awarded the Senior Berwick Prize by the London Mathematical Society in 1988. In 2004 he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society. In 2012 he became a fellow of the American Mathematical Society.
