Who was Daeng Parani?
Daeng Parani was one of the five Bugis brothers from Makassar, Sulawesi, who established political dominance over the royal houses of Peninsular Malaysia. Daing Parani became personally embroiled in the politics of the Johor Sultanate in the early 18th century.
