Who was Dakshinaranjan Mitra Majumder?

Dakshinaranjan Mitra Majumdar was a celebrated Indian writer in Bengali of fairy tales and children's literature. He was born at Ulail in Dhaka district of Bengal province in British India. His major contribution to Bengali literature was the collection and compilation of Bengali folk and fairy tales in four volumes - Thakurmar Jhuli, Thakurdadar Jhuli, Thandidir Thale and Dadamashayer Thale.
