Dale Darwin Smedsmo is a retired American professional ice hockey forward who played 4 games in the National Hockey League for the Toronto Maple Leafs. He would also play 110 games in the World Hockey Association with the New England Whalers, Cincinnati Stingers, and Indianapolis Racers. His stepson is Dustin Byfuglien, who currently plays for the Winnipeg Jets, won the Stanley Cup during the 2009-10 season with the Chicago Blackhawks.
