Who is Dan A. Polster?

Dan A. Polster is a United States federal judge.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Polster received an A.B. from Harvard College in 1972 and a J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1976. He was a trial attorney in the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice from 1976 to 1982, and an assistant U.S. Attorney in the Northern District of Ohio from 1982 to 1998.

On July 31, 1997, Polster was nominated by President Bill Clinton to a seat on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio vacated by David D. Dowd. Polster was confirmed by the United States Senate on July 31, 1998, and received his commission on August 3, 1998.
