Who is Daniel Batson?
C. Daniel Batson is an American social psychologist. He holds both doctoral degrees in Theology and Psychology. He obtained his doctorate under John Darley and has taught at the University of Kansas. Batson retired from the University of Kansas in 2006 and now holds an emeritus position with the psychology department at the University of Tennessee. He is especially known for his contributions to three fields: the social psychology of altruism, empathic concern, and psychology of religion.
