Who is Daniel Majstorović?

Daniel Majstorović is a Swedish former footballer who played as a centre back.

He started his career with IF Brommapojkarna in his native Sweden. After a year with the club he moved to German side SC Fortuna Köln in 1997. He moved back to Sweden a year later when Västerås SK signed him. His form then earned him a move to Malmö FF. It was here that he won his first trophy, the 2004 Allsvenskan and his first international call-up in 2003. He moved to Eredivisie club FC Twente in 2004 for a fee of €800,000. After one season he was signed by Swiss Super League side FC Basel for €1.3 million. Where he won the double of league and cup in the 2007–08. He also had a good scoring record at the club, getting 11 goals in the double winning season alone and finishing as the club's second top goalscorer. In 2008 he moved to Greek Super League side AEK Athens on a free transfer. He was released in 2010 due to financial problems at the club and was then signed by Scottish Premier League team Celtic. With them he has won the 2010–11 Scottish Cup and 2011–12 Scottish Premier League.
