Who was Dave Freeman?
Dave Freeman was a British film and television writer, working chiefly in comedy.
As well as writing sketches for comedians such as Tony Hancock and Arthur Askey, Freeman wrote screenplays for comedies including Jules Verne's Rocket to the Moon, Carry On Behind and Carry on Columbus as well as being a regular series contributor to Bless This House. He also co-wrote, with Greg Freeman, some episodes of the sitcom Terry and June, and was Benny Hill's co-writer and sometimes supporting player from the early 1950s through the early 1960s.
Freeman also made a brief cameo in Carry on Columbus as one of the Inquisitors for the Spanish Inquisition.
