Who was Dave Keefe?

David Edwin Keefe was a Major League Baseball pitcher who played for five seasons. He appeared in 97 games pitched for the Philadelphia Athletics in 1917 and from 1919 to 1921 and the Cleveland Indians in 1922.

Keefe returned to the Major Leagues as a coach for the Athletics under Baseball Hall of Fame manager Connie Mack, spending eight seasons in that post. He later served as the club's traveling secretary after the Athletics transferred to Kansas City.
