Who is David Tua?

David Tua is a former professional heavyweight boxer, who fought out of South Auckland, New Zealand. Tua is a former world heavyweight title challenger and is known for his punching power. His greatest asset was his left hook, which accounted for many of his knockouts. Tua fought for 21 years and recorded 59 bouts in total from 1992 to 2013. He fought many top fighters during his career.

Tua announced his retirement from boxing at the age of 40, following a defeat to Alexander Ustinov by unanimous decision in November 2013.
