Who was Doc Hazleton?
Willard Carpenter Hazleton was a first baseman, right-handed batter in Major League Baseball who played briefly for the St. Louis Cardinals during the 1902 season. Hazleton was born in Strafford, Vermont. He attended Tufts University.
In one season career, Hazleton posted a .130 average in seven games. He did not hit extrabases or scored a run and not drove in a run.
Hazleton died in Burlington, Vermont, at age of 66. He is buried at Lakeview Cemetery in Vermont.
