Who is Doug Galen?
Doug Galen is Senior Vice President of
Business Corporate Development responsible for driving
Shutterfly’s high growth initiatives, including strategic partnerships,
mergers and acquisitions. Doug brings more than 20 years of experience
in building successful alliances to support corporate planning and
strategic development.
Doug joined Shutterfly from Fourth Fleet Financial, where he served
as President and oversaw strategic corporate development. Prior to that
he served as Vice President General Manager of New Ventures for
eBay, where he was responsible for building and launching eight
emerging business units including Tickets Experiences and Real
Estate. Prior to eBay, Doug was Vice President of Sales and Business
Development for E-LOAN, Inc. As the third employee, he helped grow the
company to $150 million in revenue. During his tenure, he developed
more than 70 corporate alliances, joint ventures and acquisitions.
Doug serves on the Board of Directors for the Positive Coaching
Alliance. He earned his MBA in Real Estate Finance and BA in
Economics from University of California, Berkeley.
Doug and his wife fight over their Canon 20D on who gets to snap the
photos. Doug’s most proud pictures have been of Machu Picchu in Peru,
Lake Kariba in Zimbabwe and of his young daughter anywhere and
everywhere.
