Who is E. G. Sugavanam?
E.G. Sugavanam is a member of the 15th Lok Sabha of India. He represents the Krishnagiri constituency of Tamil Nadu and is a member of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam political party. He is best known for defeating J. Jayalalithaa in the 1996 State Assembly election in the constituency Bargur.
Sugavanam has made overall development of Krishnagiri his priority. He has successful lobbied for the establishment of a variety of small industrial development SEZs in areas such as Polupalli, in Krishnagiri outskirts.
