Who was E. K. Nayanar?
Erambala Krishnan Nayanar was a prominent Indian political leader of the Communist Party of India. He held the post of Chief Minister of Kerala three times; during 1980–81, 1987–91 and 1996–2001. He is the longest serving Chief Minister of Kerala, having been in office for a total of 3999 days, spanning 11 years. He was a member of the Politburo of CPI.
