Who was Ed Karger?
Edwin Karger was a pitcher in Major League Baseball from 1906 to 1911. He played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, and Boston Red Sox. Karger finished his career with a 48–67 win–loss record and a 2.79 earned run average.
On August 11, 1907 in a game against the Boston Braves, Karger was given credit for a seven inning perfect game.
