Who is Edward Norton?

Edward Harrison Norton is an American actor, screenwriter, film director and producer. Norton first came to prominence for his début film role in the courtroom drama Primal Fear, in which he played Aaron Stampler. His performance garnered him a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. This was followed two years later with a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actor, which he received for his lead role as reformed white power skinhead Derek Vinyard in American History X.

His other performances are diverse in range and include supporting roles in the biographical drama The People vs. Larry Flynt, the comedy Everyone Says I Love You, and the comedy-dramas Moonrise Kingdom and The Grand Budapest Hotel, starring roles in the cult hit Fight Club, 25th Hour, The Illusionist and Leaves of Grass, a rare villain turn in The Italian Job and an unrecognizable appearance in Kingdom of Heaven.

In addition to acting, Norton has also directed and co-written films. His directorial début was with the romantic comedy Keeping the Faith. He has also performed uncredited work on the scripts for The Score, Frida, and The Incredible Hulk.
